Nothing special, they have been showing a documentary about it on discovery all week. Only way we would really be at risk was if our magnetic poles decide to go haywire during the solar max, like thay have before. And if they do, then were f*cked and nothing you can do about it.

As the scientist say, this time its more intense than one in 1859. Back then, we did not have power grids and satellite systems. Now we are slave of it.

Well , if it does hit and knocks out the powergrids then it's going to be pretty difficult everywhere in the world. For months we will not have much communication with the rest of the world. we will be very isolated and have to depend on our neighbors for much of what we need. I expect it could take awhile for things to go back to normal so buy a typewriter and learn a new skill, preferably how to grow your own food and sharpen a knife.
