Have a slice! It's been 2 years since I joined CP :). Also, it's my girlfriends birthday today, and I had my new cellphone delivered, after waiting for 9 weeks (!).

Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

thanks *yummi* and may your girl have a nice birthday party! I thought she would get some gifts - not you? She is lucky to party before Christmas season. A friend's birthday is on January 2. - no one is in party mode on January 2. ... regards, Torsten

Congrats on the first 2 :) What do you think of WP7? At the moment I'm toying between up[grading my HTC Desire to a Nexus S or an HD7.

I think WP7 is pretty cool; Although not all functionality is available in my country (the Netherlands), it's very fast and easy to use. I myself come from windows mobile 6.5 (which I mainly used for it's excellent integration with exchange), but with WP7 it's even better (a lot of 'other' accounts are connected very easy (think: facebook, windows live, google). Also one of the features of WP7 which isn't mentioned anywhere is that all pictures you take with the camera, can be uploaded directly to your Windows Live SkyDrive account. Therefore, you can erase all of your pictures, but still have the images available to you on the net (although, I haven't found out how to stream them back to the phone). Xbox Live and the Marketplace will be released somewhere in 2011, and then I hope to really unlock all of the power that the superb hardware holds. On a scale of 1 - 10 WP7 scores a decent 8, and that will be a 9 when xbox live and the marketplace are released. Hope this helps ;)

All the bits are available in the UK, along with a slightly tweaked version of Zune Pass, the difference to the American version being you can't keep 10 songs a month. There's only really a couple of things I'm worried about losing from Android, the free satnav mainly. Google Navigation is a great free service. I've heard rumours of a Bing Navigation being on the way, but who knows really. The WP7 interface does look really clean and fresh, I just wonder if the OS is going to get enough backing from devs to make the marketplace as full as iPhone's or Android's. I also like the way they've gone about updates, from what I've heard, MS are going to be the only ones distributing it, just like how Apple update the iPhone, the massive frustration with my HTC Desire is the upgrade process: Google release new Android build HTC integrate their changes The carrier (O2 in my case) then make their changes. After months, eventually it gets released, by which time it's probably outdated.

No arguing with that. It is a shame the phone didn't have something like satnav on there. That was a bit of a disappointment to me as well. Especially when you think they built a special 'find' button as one of the three WP7 control buttons!
