    If i signup,I can download the stuff.Do they have any serial key mechanism or online activation ? How do they keep track of it?

          Well, someone has to put an end to the misery of Java and Java "programmers", and I think this is a good way.

          It was ever thus, the Neophiles will always rush out and get 'The Latest Thing' at a high price and with all the inherent faults - Dalek Dave.

              I do not remember doing anything for ODP.Net except signing up. Not sure about other products.

              They record whenever a developer uses curse words. More often than not, it is because of their products. ;P

                Oracle products (database and related, not Sun stuff) are freely downloadable, but these versions are buggy as hell. If you want a (more) stable version of their products, you need to pay for metalink access and download and apply the patches. This seems to be their anti-piracy method of choice.

                    It really depends what you download. There are free items, and there are items you must license - a full Oracle database server is going to cost you a lot of money but you can download and install the XE edition.
