This[^] sort of thing just makes me despair. For those of you unfamiliar with with homeopathy, the process is as follows: 1) Find something that has a similar effect as the thing that harmed you (kinda "The hair of the dog that bit you")* 2) Add it to water 3) Shake the water, take a drop from that and repeat steps 2 & 3 until you have less than one molecule of the orignal in your "solute" 4) Serve as suggested *This idea has antecedents going back to Celtic times. The guy @0:58 decided to "ignore his doctor's advice" and "use homeopathic preventative measures instead" as a result, he almost fulfilled his destiny in true Darwinian fashion when he caught Malaria and nearly died. The head homeopath/wiccan was almost in tears by the end of the interview. She knows no-one takes her or her witchcraft seriously , further than the extent she is in charge of the coven and can put a clamp on the worst abuses. What bothers me is that these quacks are allowed to cast their chicken-livers at all, never mind the fact that the NHS started funding this relatively recently, under the banner of choice. Remember that when you're paying the extra 2.5% VAT. Oh, and consider this Facebook group The 10^23 Campaign[^]

Yeah, when it comes to the crunch, I am going with drugs and surgery to get fixed up.

"It is a remarkable fact that despite the worldwide expenditure of perhaps US$50 billion since 1990, and the efforts of tens of thousands of scientists worldwide, no human climate signal has yet been detected that is distinct from natural variation." See here...[^] In her most recent paper, Ennis describes how her team looked at the effects of ultra-dilute solutions of histamine on human white blood cells involved in inflammation. These "basophils" release histamine when the cells are under attack. Once released, the histamine stops them releasing any more. The study, replicated in four different labs, found that homeopathic solutions - so dilute that they probably didn't contain a single histamine molecule - worked just like histamine. Ennis might not be happy with the homeopaths' claims, but she admits that an effect cannot be ruled out. So, while I totally agree that homeopathy in the main is bunkum, Madeleine Ennis - a reputable scientist and a "scourge of homeopathy" has shown unexpected effects of homeopathic solutions. So - remain skeptical by all means, but don't write off things that sound like they can't be true- you just never know... maybe there's something in it after all... :omg:

I appreciate the gesture and the time. Can you imagine just how tiny a mind someone has to have to be following me around to give me 1's? I mean, clicking on the "1" must be the highlight of his day, even giving him more of a thrill than deciding which sock to put on first.

And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." ~ Benj Franklin
