The audio engineer who thinks this is worth it because "the bass is more punchy". COME ON YOU MORON!! It's a DIGITAL SIGNAL carrying data to tell a computer how to recreate the sound! Compare that to a $6 cable and the data gets there the same way! Yeah, I know it was a bogus review. It starts out legit sounding though.

(1) Among audiophiles, "more punchy bass through better data cable" is one of the less esoteric explanations. If you want to have fun with them, get thewm to talk about power cables, or how to solder connections. (2) At the data rates, "digital" is a relative word. We have some experience with USB, the audio protocols are without checksum, and cables are a good competitor in the "reasons for signal errors". (Still, there's nothing to gain beyond $20).
