My Participation Points decreased by around 500 points. Does anyone know why this can happen?

A lot of people are going to kid around with you on this one only because it has been the topic of conversation for a while now. The site went through some recalculation processing of the points. Everyone, not just you, has been affected. Look at some of the posts in the Bugs/suggestions forum for more.

As long as they send some of the ones they took off me last weekend back my way, I'll be happy...

I wish I could (sorta). I put on a few stone when I gave up smoking in '04 and am still carrying some of it around... Sorta: If I was that worried about it, I could do something about it. Like eat less, or exercise. Nah.

The Papyrus typeface (or font if you like) is very hard to read. So if Papyrus is not on your computer, the browser will substitute it with the standard font, probably something like Arial, which is very readable. In my country we have a saying that's like "If you read this, you've been fooled". My sig is a paraphrase on that. Cheers

The stocks were low, so it was decided to recycle some points. :)

And Chris, taking his cue from Steve Jobs, gave up his rep points and will accept only one per year.

Mine too. It was due to some re-calculation few days back and people will kill you now if you discuss this again.

They use a new equation now rep pts = (number of fingers * amount of nose hairs as a percentage / body odor) * average points per post; Have any of these changed for you?

Yes, but my rep point options are excellent.
