Taking the fall
-
Sometimes in life, we strive to achieve and fail trying (I dont want to go into the details here - on an open forum). It is strange. You are there, standing right there, and life's pulls the carpet from under your feet. You fall, fine. Even as you are falling, maybe not for a fault of your own, you wonder, what you could have done to avoid this fall. You keep thinking if you could have done something better or different (not really knowing if it was you who was to blame). You get up, decide you will do things better (and different) and try. You fall again. Its difficult - you just don't know what to do? Stop trying? They say falling and getting up makes you stronger. I don't think I'm getting any stronger.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it. My latest tip/trick
You don't have to be a theist to understand the basics set out in The Bhagavad Gita[^]. It does give you clarity... go away somewhere, take a break and come back stronger. :rose: I am so going to be down voted for bringing "religion" into the lounge

I always figure, if I get up again, I've proven I don't NEED to get any stronger. On the other hand, if at first you don't succeed, perhaps skydiving is not for you.

If this is about a woman, you're better off pretending to be permanently fallen.

Sound advice will always be appreciated by all who have common sense, no matter where it comes from. It does not matter whether it comes from the Gita or the Bible. Atheists can simply ignore any reference to religion and still follow the advice.

I personally abide by 2 sayings - and an observation: 1) Sh*t happens. 2) When you get a lemon, make lemonade. And the observation: Never confuse the 2 or you get either some funny looking sh*t or some real bad lemonade. Life sometimes throws crap at us. I try not to over-analyze stuff. Just make your decisions, live with them and keep looking forward.

The words of Fedor (the greatest fighter alive): "The one who doesn't fall, doesn't stand up". Life can appear to be an unreasonable b*tch at times, but I've learned that everything happens for a reason. The roots of why something happens delve so deeper that we hardly can see it. But you do get an answer; sometimes years later. Life's a very long learning experience - you keep getting better as you learn. Some times you fall down when you learn, other times you fly. But the learning experience is more important than the outcome. Because it prepares you for a bigger fight. Whatever may your fall be, I wish you courage to keep the fight going. :)

I strive to fail. That way, if I fail (as I often do), I've succeeded. It's great to be a success! :-D It also makes for great performance reviews. My last one said, "Roger sets low goals, but very consistently fails to achieve them!" I got a raise and a promotion for that one. :-D
