I'm always surprised that people continue eating at such places. I prefer service (ie. sit down, tell what I want, get served) and I wont even approach the aspect of the food quality. Did anyone catch the news two days ago? A body of "kids" are sueing MacDonalds for their obesity. I think McDonalds should sue the parents of said kids for allow them to eat that type of food. Ok.. so I'm not having a good day and am having a hard time finding the bright side to most things. Not to mention that the squirrel population around here is such that all I got to shoot was a sigh reading "No tresspassing". --------------------------------------------- The greenest grass is NOT on the other side of the fence, its the grass you take care of. Have you watered your lawn lately? - Just remember when you point a finger at someone else, you are only one finger away from making a fist to hit them with! What a pile of hooey this is. How could anyone in their right mind expect that McDonalds is anything BUT a ball of grease and sawdust ? I *hate* McDonalds. My daughter gets to go there about 4 times a year, but any more than that is just more than I can bear. It's not food, it's a huge marketing con, aimed solely at children. I always tell Hannah 'Ronald McDonald is NOT your friend, he just wants to sell you bad food'. What bothers me is that people keep them in business. I feel like I'm having fast food if I go to a dinner and have to wait 5 minutes for my meal. I just don't get it. --------------------------------------------- The greenest grass is NOT on the other side of the fence, its the grass you take care of. Pros of Mac Donalds: * You know what you get. You won't look forward to an order of fried chicken, just to find out the new cook uses a megaton of fresh cilantro, which you can't stand * You can look like the whackiest weirdo of the world, you will get the same service like everybody else. * You can dine like a 3 year old child. You will get the same service. * You can sue them for coffe being hotter than at home - and win!

Bah what a bunch of old fogeys. Admit that you ate mcdonalds when you were a kid. It tastes great. I suppose you'd force your kid to eat tofu burgers or some other tasteless hippy rubbish. Dead cow is good for you!

I dont know much about being a fogey, but I'm getting on in my years... a day at a time. Was never much for McDonalds as a kid, niether were my older brothers, we had a mom who actually took the time to cook a decent meal, even a hamburger now and again. If you make one at home, eat half and go to a fast food place and eat half of thier burger I'm sure you would recognize the differene, not to mention the price. Cost about 60 cents (US) to make a burger with the standard fixing and its actually meat on the bun, not half soy and half ground up beef parts. to say the least.. I have a 'beef' on the issue. --------------------------------------------- The greenest grass is NOT on the other side of the fence, its the grass you take care of. I did, and I liked it. Now, I think it tastes like crap. Too much sugar in the buns, and too much salt in the thickshakes. The best burgers come from fish and chip shops. Much less fatty (depending on the shop) and taste really good with healthier ingredients, not the prefabricated ingredients of a maccas. Cheers The universe is driven by the complex interaction between three ingredients: matter, energy, and enlightened self-interest.

That would be a little understandable if they could actually cook something edible. As it is, their food tastes like the cardboard it is...just about any late night kebab van could produce food of restaurant quality by comparison. ;P If I fancy a burger I'll go to a decent Burger Bar not anywhere like MacDonalds. At least they're likely to have actually heard of vinegar, pepper and mustard (I don't eat salt on my food). Anna :rose: "Be yourself - not what others think you should be"
