Wristwatch?

The Edifice series is for gentlemen (don't ask me why do I have one). So, you shouldn't expect those to last longer with rough usage. However, if you have to talk about toughness, take a look at some of the videos[^] in the G-Shock site. It will kick military grade's ass. :)

I have a (broken) Tag Heuer 2000 series apparently most expensive watches have the same innards (ETA 2).

It's not the size; it's the action of having to remove it when all I have to do is look at my left wrist. Seemples.

How many guys still use watch to know the time? Nowadays time is available all around you especially if you own a mobile phone/mp3 player etc. Personally I wear watch and see now and then during discussion to show my displeasure at time managment

Wristwatch always Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust slim, stylish, light(for a chronograph) and no batteries to worry about (£150 for a service is a bit steep though) oh and it ticks lovely

I'm never comfortable without my watch. If I forget it it'll bother me all day, even tho I take it off as soon as I get into the office and leave it beside my monitor. I'm not particular about quality engineering, but I do want certain things from a watch: 1. Chunky metal strap - fine metal straps keep catching the hair on my arm and plastic or leather straps make me sweat and wear out too quickly. The chunky metal strap is uncomfortable when sitting at a keyboard all day tho. 2. I like an analog face with actual numbers (not just a mark) on 12, 3 and 9 at least, and with a digital display built in too. The last couple of watches I've bought have been Casios and they've been on the lower end of the price spectrum. I do tend to take my watch off and fiddle with it, which drives my GF up the walls. :)

Definitely a watch, I don't feel dressed without one.

I haven't worn a watch for years (around 8 for a guess). When I did wear one I took it of whenever I was at home or in the office, resting it on my desk. When sat or stood still elsewhere I tended to take it off and fiddle with it almost constantly. I hate having anything restrictive on my wrists, don't really like long sleeved clothing either.

It's funny thinking about it when you put it like that. I don't like long sleeves either, I'll push up the sleeves of whatever I'm wearing and I roll up shirt sleeves before I put a shirt on. And even tho I take my watch off in work and fiddle with it at other times (maybe that's me subconsciously removing the restriction on my wrist) I'd still be lost if I didn't have it. :)

Me too with the sleeves, shirt sleeves always, always rolled up. If I am wearing a coat with elasticated cuffs I tend to have me hands inside the sleeve as much as possible.

I have never wore a wrist watch. Well OK I tried it for a couple of months one time because my ex gave me one for Xmas or B-day or something.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me. http://www.hq4thmarinescomm.com[^]

I stopped wearing a wristwatch many years ago because it cleared the hair off my wrist. :(( I keep a Casio wristwatch in my pocket because it has a more convenient calculator than my cell phone's.

I just look at my wrist, and maybe tap it; you don't actually need a watch to get the message across.

An Edifice 527D[^], a G-Shock Classic[^], a Levi Strauss dual time, and an UCB (Benetton). The last two are designer watches, and the first two are more serious ones.
