Can anyone recommend a Good, Tough(which can survive from minor shocks) having capacity of minimum 500 GB to 1 TB and can work Windows 7?

Go for WD then. Passport one comes with 640GB max, which is good option. Mine is just 320GB and has survived couple of falls in a year. :)

I'll second the Western Digital Passport line of portable hard drives. I've had one for a couple years that I use for backups. I do recommend a padded case for transport, however.

As per specification, Data Transfer Rate is 480 MB/s. I can say over the time, i saw decline in it, not much. I spent £55 last year on 320GB. 640GB is expected to be less than £95, around £80

I second that. Expensive but reliable.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it. My latest tip/trick

How could a HDD not work with Weven ? NEVER buy Iomega. The two I've bought, have failed spectacularly and for no good reason. I have a WD that I've carried around the world for years and it's still going strong.

Thanks Raja, How's its toughness, I mean build quality and drop/shock/jolt experience if you have any. From which store and in how much price you bought this one.

I recommend that you get one that's easy to carry around. It would also be handy if it had cables so you could plug it into different machines.
