Seriously, how many more soapbox forums do we need to open to keep politics out of the Lounge?

These are not normal politics. It's not every day revolution occurs!

              So, "abnormal" politics are fine?

Soapbox politics: global warming, some dirty senator got elected, etc. Lounge politics: holy moly, a government was toppled and a new one is being born! You may have noticed that one of the recent daily emails had the first 3 or so links to info about Egypt. I think many of us are interested in this. I know I am. :)

Guess you were right. The thread has been moved to the Soapbox. Politics is as politics does.

I agree. But the Lounge, Chris has made quite clear, is not for politics. That's why he created this forum and why I set up Soapbox 1.0. And of course, for the intemperate, there's always the Backroom.

Ah, I don't have much experience talking about politics, so I wouldn't really know. Funny that he specifically says endless debate about US politics is not welcome in the Soapbox.

And has told fat_boy that this is where his global warming posts belong. Nonetheless, I figure he gets to determine the flow and I get to go with it.

Gone? He's not gone... He just said he won't run for re-election... He still plans on sticking around until September, though somehow I doubt he'll live that long.

Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?
