Recommend a media player to me!

It's that time of the year again... Since my favorit, @Max Tray Player, doesn't run on Win7 x64 anymore, I am on the hunt again. My favorite features were: - Play+Next Buttons in / besides the tray - Doesn't need to "Scan your disk to build a media library" - Simple selection of files to play - pass "/play" on command line to continue playing I've tried WinAmp classic for a while, but it's out for it's measely semihalf-pixel-sized-buttons and the rather annoying add files method.

I second MPC HC. But VLC will play anything though, so always handy to keep around.

Doesn't Windows Media Player (WMP) meet your requirements? Disclaimer: I'm not saying it does. I don't have Weven here at work and don't use it much at home (certainly not for media). Just wondering...

| FoldWithUs! | sighist | WhoIncludes - Analyzing C++ include file hierarchyFor music, I use WimAmp. For video, after VLC refused to play some files and started crashing quite a bit, I switched to Media Player Classic and am very happy with it. It's extremely stable and rarely fails to work.

Since I use it for videos, and opening a video kills my current "unsaved playlist", it's already out. I've tried it a few times, but never got to like the selection of songs.
