In its top 10 are Egypt, Algeria and Morocco, but also Hong Kong, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Tunisia, Romania and Ukraine are in the top 20. "High food prices… [are] a potential source of protests, riots and political tension," Nomura warns." Hong Kong? Ok, the analyst has no idea what he/she is talking about ... :)

Wouldn't worry too much about Romania or Ukraine, afaik (well, I know for sure about RO but not entirely certain about Ukraine) there are millions of acres of high quality land that grow weeds for now or need irrigation systems rebuilt - yes, they've bloody stolen all the pipes. If push comes to shove I'm quite certain it will become profitable to use all that land.

I was thinking the same. The both countries have too little population for their natural resources and in fact their major exports are food. So this analysis is not to be taken seriously.
