Atlas Shrugged Trailer [modified]

I saw the trailer (the movie is ambitiously titled "Atlas Shrugged - Part 1"), but I'm not entirely sure that they're going to be able to pull this off. The trailer seemed disjointed to me, and failed to convery the meaning of the movie, much less the book.

Is this actually a movie based on the book by Ayn Rand? Wow. Pretty ambitious. I wonder if they'll get the mood right?
As in dragging along aimlessly, using a total of three blueprints (enterpreneur, leech, sheeple) instead of characters, where the only development is two minor roles jumping from one point to the other like epiphanic fleas, inflating the marginal crumbs of story to a four-hour blob, cumulating in a rose-colored utopia where Ken Lay enjoys cleaning his own latrine? Yeah, I am certain Hollywood can do that.

If the intent is to slurp $15/head out of the pockets of Paulites it'll probably be a success; but by that logic Battlefield Earth was a success as well. From a commercial standpoint I don't think Paulites are that much more common than Scientologists. :doh: or :cool: ?

I've the book by Ayn Rand and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also in no way associate myself with the tea-party. Your attempt at calling out a group of people has only shown your bias in the matter
