Have you tried the MSN messanger? It's terrible--yet at the same time 6x better than AIM. Sadly I'm stuck with AIM simply due to the large numbers of people who use it. My only real complaint about MSN's messanger is that I hate the message down at the bottom that says: :wtf:"1 Friends are online". I mean really, all it would have taken was an extra 15 seconds of coding to fix the problem. Oh well, enough of my off topic rantishness. Although, a CP Messanger would be really cool. Maybe Chris could do a contest for one! :-D If you have a problem with my spelling, just remember that's not my fault. I (as well as everyone else who learned to spell after 1976) blame it on Robert A. Kolpek for U.S. Patent 4,136,395.

It works with MSN, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, and IRC simultaneously, and has a nicer GUI than any of them. I don't know if it will do a multiuser, multiservice chat yet, but one of these days I'm going to try it. Really? Wow! I'll have to check it out. Do you have a link? Or will I have to google it out? If you have a problem with my spelling, just remember that's not my fault. I (as well as everyone else who learned to spell after 1976) blame it on Robert A. Kolpek for U.S. Patent 4,136,395.

Trillian is a savior when it comes to instant messenging. I absolutely could not stand AOL's AIM UI. You can get it at here. There's a standard free version, and a professional version that you have to pay for. Don't fret, the free version is perfectly usable!
