I have just tried to download Nokia maps to my phone, twice, from the web via Ovi Suite, and both times the download silently aborts early. Is there any way I can download the maps as a file, using Free Download Manager that can resume aborted downloads, then copy over to my phone? The manual seems to think so, but I can't find a standalone map file anywhere.

I tried to find it for you but unfortunately I didn't have a map, so I tried to download Noki.............................

You wouldn't have to make me. I volunteer. :-\

Can't you just download it using the phone? It should be available in new Ovi Maps. Or you don't have the app installed?

The download through Ovi Maps keeps stopping around half way. I've tried twice now, going to try again now that local network traffic should be tapering off. Maybe I should try at midnight here, but I have no idea where the maps are actually coming from. All from Finland? Their time should only be a couple of hours off SAST.

I usually run it late at night and it was ok. Maybe this will help you manual installation of maps[^]

I tried that, thanks, but those links go straight back to the main Nokia page. I'll just keep trying, sigh. X|
