I'd just fill its tank if I were you.

i wouldn't worry too much. of all the countries with revolution troubles, only Iran is among the top ten oil exporters. and Iran has been dealing with protests for years. if Saudi Arabia starts having serious problems, then you can worry.

It seems the whole of the middle east is in chaos No it's not. It's the same old shit, just with someone new is in charge, which is the same old shit.

Not quite true. Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa became Emir in 1999, and King in 2002. The Khalifa family has ruled Bahrain since 1783. I spent over 20 years working (and living) in the Middle East, including two years in Bahrain, and always considered it one of the more enlightened regimes in the area. Also, it seems the current ruler is even more enlightened than the previous one, and there has been a continous process of political reform during his rule. I strongly suspect that the current unrest is directly sponsored by Iran, who would like to see Bahrain as a client Shia state. As for the rest of them, the sooner they get rid of them the better, particularly Ali Abdullah Saleh in Yemen. He was the man that actually pulled the trigger when Abdul Rahman al-Iryani was assinated in 1974, and who then colluded with the chairman of the communist party in South Yemen to get rid of Ibrahim al-Hamdi in 1977, so he could become president himself. Machiavelli was a beginner compared to this guy. I was in Yemen in 1977 - it was, shall we say, an 'interesting' time.
