Bought a second hand oxy acetylene welder. I noticed there is some oxidation on the gauges [^] (Greenish dirt) Is there any chemical way to clean them (to make the shiny again). I tried very fine sand/water paper (From P320 to P800) but it's a PITA to manually clean this way. Any ideas..? Thanks in advance. Not urgentz PS: This is on both the Acetylene and Oxygen tank gauges.

May sound stupid but have you tried Coke? It won't shine it but might remove the gook.
