The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.
The difference is you heard and I read .. if I had heard about it, it would be a different story! ;) Plus drinking here means alcohol.

That was not made obvious in the original post. How are we to deduce from the short statement what you were inferring? Perhaps more succinct statements would reduce the apparent discordency between what you stated and what you intended us to comprehend.

Dave, You may have a point it isn't obvious. But as you are aware when most people talk about going for a drink they generally are referring to an alcoholic beverage of some description.... Unless you've gone of the booze :o ;)

After my holiday I am taking the pledge. I am giving up one of the major loves of my life, Cigarettes. In order to help me do this, I have to stop drinking, for drinking and smoking go hand in hand. I am going to be on the wagon for a month. I don't know how I am going to cope!

Well it all comes down like this: The first few days/weeks/months is like cutting off your hand. The next phase will seem like "Hey this is not bad". In the end, you'll be proud of yourself for getting out of it. Takes a lot of willpower to quit any sort of habit so I hope you are prepared for it! Good Luck!
