Apparently I should click on on the start icon, click on the "add to Favorite button" and then navigate half the screen to to fill up a useless message box. I dunno but the whole message box snafu left me flabergasted... it feels hard and cumbersome! Is there an easier way?!?

A train station is where the train stops. A bus station is where the bus stops. On my desk, I have a work station.... _________________________________________________________ My programs never have bugs, they just develop random features.

Switch to Chrome: They call them "Bookmarks" but there is a button at the RHS of the address bar which adds the current page. Click it and a box drops down to find out where you want it... ;P

In addition to Glenn Dawson's excellent Ctrl-D suggestion, I believe you can also click the favorites icon (star icon near the right-hand side at the top). That drops down the favorites list and I believe there's a button at the top to add one. I'm not near the machine that has IE9 on it, so I may be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure it's there. Never mind, I misread your original message -- thought you were doing something from the Start menu, but you're already doing what I suggested and were looking for something less cumbersome. Sorry for wasting your time. :-O

Tss, tss, fanboy! I'm already using Chrome all the time, I'm just giving a go at re-habituating myself to IE! ;P

No worry! :) CTRL+D Seems cool, it becomes "CTRL+D" + "Return" it's a quick keyboard combination... Still from the mouse it's less than optimum...

CTRL + D works well in almost all the browsers.

You can also just right-click anywhere on a web page, and select "Add to Favorites." best, Bill

"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly."
