Paste data from excel

Need some suggestion, how should i achieve this? user have data in excel file? this data i need to update on DB. Yes, i can process excel file, and dozen of articles exist on web. What i need to know, can i provide copy paste functionality ? Like you copy from one excel file paste on another? Just like is it possible to copy data from excel file and paste it on ASP.NET control (Datagrid) or any other control? If possible then, please tell me path i follow?
