GOG are selling Serious Sam: The First Encounter[^] for $2.39 today! If you haven't played it, or can't find the CD, then go get it! Well good game, with (as usual for GOG) no DRM to make life a PITA, and you don't need the CD in your PC to play. If you haven't played it, then it's a bit old, the enemies have no IQ at all - but there are hundreds of them. And they are all heading your way... Brilliant, brain out entertainment!

Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together. Manfred R. Bihy: "Looks as if OP is learning resistant."

There's already a HD Version of Serious Sam: TFE. Same game (remake with modern graphics), it's not that more expensive (i have bought it for 10 € in GameStop). But if you wan't to have the old game, this is a good price :)

Pff, that's nothing! You could get Serious Sam HD : Gold[^] (which includes classic The First and The Second Encounter and their HD counterparts) for two bucks more at Steam's last Christmas sale. You should also keep an eye on the new encounter[^].

If you can live with DRM crap that's fine. However, GOG gives you extras such as manuals and soundtracks and they make sure the games they sell work on modern OS'es. And they are also aware that 10 EUR > 10 USD.
