Why FF4 Sucks Today

Because the release of FF4 makes IE9 look outdated by several years. How long will it take MS to play catchup this time?

For a second there I thought this was a throwback to Final Fantasy 4... I was a little disappointed to find out otherwise.

I don't want to start a flame war neither harm anything but... is it me or is it almost exactly the same? I mean, I've taken a look at the screenshots that are available on the FF4 site and it seems exactly the same than IE9 apart from the FF button (that seems office 2010 IMHO)... Again I must say that I've never used FF so I don't know any of it's super-dooper advantages, but anyway... aesthetically speaking it seems the same to me...

Do you maintain the troll page in your signature? The second link does not work for me.

Really? They are all starting to look the same to me. Except Safari. Safari is still refreshingly awful.

Agreed. Downloaded FF4 yesterday, and it feels totally like Chrome (which I use mainly for website compatibility testing), particularly in the default config sans menu bar. Has chrome-like overlay of cancel/refresh buttons. Haven't yet tried to see if it's got Chrome's bug feature - park your mouse on the (cancel) button while the page is refreshing. When the refresh is complete, the button won't change to refresh until you mouse away from it. Cheers, Peter
