Why Code Project is Down in Programming Websites
-
I am just getting started. Bloody cats. Cat crap all over my front garden. How do you stop cats crapping on your garden. And why are cat owners not treated the same as dog owners for letting their pets crap wherever they please. If I see your cat crapping on my garden I am following it home and crapping on yours. Except it probably wont actually be your house will it, cos cats show no bloody loyalty at all, it'll just be stopping off at someone else's house for some extra food on the way home.
Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

Better than cat diarrhea all over your living room...my favorite.

When you get down to it, cats are nothing but 2 bit dirty whores.

CP is a family; a digital one, but at the end it is a family. Love it or hate it, but seeing that there are 7663654 members here means something... There is a lot of people here and each day new ones discover it and appear here. Almost everyone here enjoys staying and loves to help and to be helped. Probably that you are crying too much... change your attitude and you'll get a different feedback... SOFTDEV Luck in life always exists in the form of an abstract class that cannot be instantiated directly and needs to be inherited by hard work and dedication.
If questions were moderated then this would cease to be a valid answer.

Its about having the decencancy to look hard and do some research before asking for help. Jeez, the problem with people is they are far too lazy to look for an answer. Maybe its because I was a developer before the internet became mainstream and guys like us had to research and god forbid - READ. This was way before the internet handed you everything on plate.

You can always go to another site if this site bothers you so much. IMHO...I think you need thicker skin. It's a brutal world out there and if you let the small stuff get to you then you will be eaten alive and there won't be any SOFTDEV left for the world to appreciate. ;)

Its a wonderful platform for programmers/learners but because of childish attitude of some people , i think so its ranked down,CP should do something about it :( . http://www.topsite.com/best/programming[^]

Yes CP is a wonderful place to learn and yes some people on here have childish attitudes. Those would be the people that don't care to do any research but instead ask us to do it for them and then whine and cry when we refuse and instead point them at google. If you have a problem and have attempted to solve it yourself but for some reason get stuck and ask a question here I don't think you'd have a problem getting an answer.

I still believe that you learn better from good books and figuring things out for yourself (at least I have this experience with programming and electronics). The information on the internet is a tricky thing. I have a feeling the the global ratio of [useful information]/[nonsense] is rapidly approaching zero. One has to be able to filter out the crap. With a good book you won't have that problem.

Of course, you have to filter out the crap books. Otherwise you're in the same position except that you've spent money on the crap. :)

When the question could've been answered by the first couple of results in a google search, it's the correct answer. And don't bother lecturing me about the changing world, etc. When you start listening to your own advice and start seriously considering others' opinions, then I'll attach some value greater than zero to your lectures.
