One of the incentives I was suggested by the quit-smoking clinic at my doctors, was to put the cash you would have spend on fags in a pot each day. At the end of the first month, spend the lot on a gift for yourself. Then start planning the six month treat! It gives you something to look forward to, as well as showing you how much it was really costing you.

I decided to cut down, rather than quit straight away. I now just smoke after meals. I'm down to 30 meals a day :)

I found that quitting was hardest when I would have a drink of booze or some of my favorite coffee. The nicotine gum was very helpful. Good luck and good choice.:thumbsup:

How many cigs do you consume per day? I plan to quit but the stress level increases incrementally by the minutes I'm not smoking.
