According to PCMag: http://www.pcmag.com/print_article2/0,1217,a=261512,00.asp?hidPrint=true[^] [Note: I'm posting the "Print" link because that way you won't have to wade through multiple pages of crap advertisements.]

    Best wishes, Hans

That's quite a list! But I'd like to add a candidate. DrawDraftSight is a free, 2-D drafting tool that is offered at no cost by a vendor of 3-D drafting tools, just as an introduction to their main product line. It's an excellent way to break into a tightly-held market, and I applaud them for doing so. I'm too lazy and tired to post a link, but Google can find it in a snap. I've used it a couple of times, and I've found it to be nearly equal to AutoCAD LT. There are a few handy tools missing, but for the most part anyone familiar with AutoCAD will have no trouble picking it up. Compared to $1100 for the "genuine" product, a few missing features is a small sacrifice. It's an excellent tool, and I plan to use it a bunch for projects that the company isn't paying for. [EDIT] Oops. [/EDIT]

Wow. Great link. Very informative. I'll try some of these software, particularly on Virtualization. I did'nt know that there are free software for that one. Im using Microsoft Virtual PC right now but I might change it after evaluating those products. Thank you.

I've tried the app launchers from that list, but still my app launcher of choice is SlickRun[^]; it's small, fast and does everything I need it to do (from a launcher).
