I have always pain in knees and reins and some times of sitting long times on the chair. :(( I asked my manager to carpet the floor so I can lay on the ground some times. What do you do to get rid of these pains?

Reins? You could adjust the height of your chair so there isn't so much weight on your feet when sitting.

Yup, I thought that too. You can lead a programmer to the keyboard but you can't make him code?

Do we have any standard ration for height of table and chair and my height, and also the angles of knees and foots on the footstep panel?

If you do an internet search for computer ergonomics you will find lots of information, including measurements. Some of these are enforceable in the UK/EU due to various Health and Safety legislation. Of course, this may not be true where you are.

Yeah, I do the same sort of thing, although we don't have a pinball machine.

Heavy squats, deadlifts, wearing vibrum 5 fingers, and working at a stand up desk every once in a while. Human beings did not adapt to sitting, so it causes a whole host of muscle and flexibility problems that build up over time.

You could do what I did and bring a sleeping back to work. Though I brought mine to sleep, not to reduce pain. And to fix your back and knee problems, I'd say you should adjust your chair and take a walk a few times during the day (laying down could be good too, as long as you aren't sitting). A little stretching couldn't hurt either.

Honestly, with that profession it seems different. It will program, but you have to lead it to the keyboard.

Reins are kidneys I take it. Its probably not kidneys, its probably your back. 2 causes, age, and age/notenoughexercise. Get a chair whose base tilts forward. Make sure the base is high enough, your thighs should sloe down slightly. And you can also remove the back of your chair, make it a stool. Do this and your posture will improve. Takea break avery 40 mins. Walk a bit, stretch. And importantly, get some exercise. Cycling is good, anything like pilates is also good for the back. Dont take painkillers if possible. And if its that bad you have to then go see a doc.
