For me it's some Tunnel Trance records at low volume... I simply can't concentrate when listening to vocals. So what do you prefer when coding? When I was young my mother told me to clean up my room, I told her -1!

The Offspring's Americana album. Loud music and good headphones. Is there anything else? Cheers, Simon "From now on, if rogue states want to buy weapons of mass destruction, they're going to have to go on eBay," Mr. Bezos said.

I prefer no music, or some really good psy-trance, but very little in between.

I tend to get involved with my music, so don't listen to any at work. It scares people around me ! Elaine Would you like to meet my teddy bear ?

Any of the Gilles Peterson compilation albums are excellent, really low-concentration chilled jazzy house. "In meetings, the person who is least competent usually does the most talking. Talking is a direct substitute for competence, at least in the minds of other people. Five minutes after you leave a meeting, you won't remember what anyone said but you will remember who did most of the talking. Withing a day your mind will translate that into a notion that the talker was unusually knowledgeable" - Scott Adams, Dilbert and the way of the weasel
