That's why some (almost all) application ported for Windows CE sucks! Companies are often so stupid: they don't buy developers an IPaq, only because it is a fun (and, somehow expensive) toy. And, for some other stupid reason, they believe that a programmer is supposed to build a good and consistent interface for an environment he almost never uses! I see dumb people

Well, the boss has already told the powers that be that it's got to be a complete re-write, and that we're going to lose a certain (significant) amount of functionality along with it. I just hope they don't do sometimg stupid like try to shoehorn in a shared codebases between the desktop version and the Pocket PC version. I personally think the Pocket PC is too damn small (a 3-inch screeen) to be useful, but maybe I just don't get it (I've had trouble "getting it" before on other projects, so this is an entirely feasible explanation). If it's a coffee table, you might seat about 2 comfortably. thats what I was thinking - what sort of design/graphics work are you going to do on a PocketPC? If you have ever used one - the damn pen needs resetting/aligning every few days and the screens sensitivity starts to go after a year - especially after the frustrated user starts bashing it with the stylus when the thing decides to become unresponsive and then runs all clicks and presses for the past 30secs in 1ms and prompty deletes the excel spreadsheet you have been working on - arrgghhhhh !!!!!!
