Just for Sh*ts and Giggles, well, and to become a MCSD), I took the Visual C++ Desktop MS Exam (070-016).  I had been going through 2 study guides and an Exam Cram book, and have come to this conclusion: These books do not reflect the actual content of the test.  The same goes for the Practice Exams.    I passed the test nicely, and was thinking that I was going to fail it based on the results of the Practice Exams...!    Damn things had me worried for nothing... :P    Did anyone else feel the same after taking any of the MCSD exams?    (Now... On to the Distributed, Architectures, and SQL Server 7.0 exams... :) )    Peace! -=- James.

James, I just completed my MCSD on Friday. My suggestion to you would be to check out the Transcender prep exams (http://www.transcender.com). I purchased 3 exams from them, and each one was extremely helpful. I studied for my last exam Analyzing Requirements (070-100), without any books, and passed nicely using the Transcender exam only. I found that not only did the Transcender exams have the same feel as MS's exams, but the question were 3-5 times harder. Thank God for Transcender! ;P Chaim Nussbaum, MCSD Chaim.Nussbaum@Marconi.com
