Ah! Mob mentality is a new norm here. Got it!

So? Are they also complaining to editors of news programs they watch? If you don't want to know what's going on in the world, maybe you should skip places where current events are being discussed. It's that simple.

If they are about to broadcast the match after the news, they do tell you to look away before they report the scores...

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike... me...

Heh, not here, mate. Anyways, nobody broadcasts the match over this site, so there's no need to apply this little rule of yours here.

It would still be courteous of you not to post the results of sporting events as the subject title of your messages. Even if it is unlikely that somebody might see the results of a match they had recorded at home because they were at work while it was on, but decided to take a quick check in the CP Lounge before going home to see what people are up to.

"Mob mentality" would better be applied to sporting events. But, yes, the Lounge is a community area with etiquette and mores.

The common courtesy is to mark the subject with "[sports]", "[football]", "[soccer]" or what have you so that others know to ignore the thread. The less common courtesy is to just not post sport threads.

Well, Yesterday I went to sleep happy and missed two points: 1. Probably somebody who is interested in football and that has not seen the match would not be happy to read the results of the match between Madrid and Barça here. 2. There are not much interested people in football here. So... At the bottom of this message you can see the original post (which is something wonderfully well engineered and beautiful) Regarding the first point... I can't change all the posts that are related to the original one so I'm sorry if I ruined an experience to anyone... [original post] Subject line: Madrid 0 - Barça 2 :-D  [/original post]

I don't even care about football or cricket, but it would be courteous not to have spoilers (for those may watch it later).
