Does anyone have recommendations of any sites like "The Code Project" but for Linux ? I am interested in C++ development on Linux and I am hoping to find some sites where developers share code like Code Project (which has been a great source of practical programming information). :)

www.freshmeat.net has a lot of code. I've found source forge and the OSDN to be rather, well, not live up to what I'd hope for. There really doesn't appear to be a 'codeproject' for linux/Unix. As for calling their stuff OSDN, well it just doesn't stack up to MSDN at all. Mind you, you get what you pay for, which is why I pay for it I guess :-) Stephen Kellett -- C++/Java/Win NT/Unix variants Memory leaks/corruptions/performance/system problems. UK based. Here is some websites: www.objectcentral.com www.kde.org (for kde development, I like it very much, and they have an excellent IDE - kdevelop) www.xfree86.org (for x development) And a great book that covers all these things together: C++ programming, Memory management, shared libraries, X Window development, etc GNU C++ FOR LINUX - Tom Swan There's much more, but unfortunatelly I don't remeber. :( []s
