now wait a dang minute. I'm not a Philistine here, the eggs were never mentioned. We were talking just bacon alone, in which case leaner is good as you get more meat to chew on.

depends on what your app does and your target audience.... unfortunately its usually a lot of extra work and testing... even if you use the languages that are supposed to support this easily (such as java and other virtual machine or run-time compiled languages)
