So I took the old heap to the French MOT station, CT its called, and the 12 year old jaloppy passed first time! :omg: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :omg: :wtf: I was a bit surprised, especially because its suspension knocks on pot holes and the handbrake only works on one side. Mind you, I replaced two lower wishbone bushes last year and a track rod (on advice from a BMW garage, that was actually a load of cock, because all though it did redice the vibration I had at speed, it was actually the tyres causing it. F#@king arsehoiles.) It nmakes me happy that it passed though, I really didnt fancy spending the weekend under the beemer fixing it! :)

I am not sure I would be please that a car that I know has faults PASSES a test for roadworthyness! if this passes what else on the road passed with faults - and is it anywhere near me! Would seem that either the test needs toughening or the test center needs investigating

You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

And the CT is valid for two years here. There are some really crappy cars aorund, reminds me of the UK in the 70's. :)

Minor faults! This[^] was a Toyota pickup that Top Gear tried to destroy: after the final test involving leaving it on the top of a 24 storey building then demolishing the building. It ran. Richard Hammond looking at the car afterwards: "I've taxed worse"

Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together. Manfred R. Bihy: "Looks as if OP is learning resistant."

Of course. Nobody could get a vehicle with defects through a government vehicle inspection. :TunelessWhistleSmiley:
