Not as long as you, apparently (judging by the number of complaints posted by you here).

Good, I'd probably regret it later if we did.

Good choice. You'd only end up traumatizing your kids by forcing them into incest later.

While I see your point and agree it would be sorta funny, regardless of how bad it is there will always be a ton of people who will upgrade to the "latest and greatest" as soon as possible, even if its anything but greatest. Me personally, I made the mistake of upgrading to Vista rather early. I went up to Weven as soon as I could just to get away from Vista. But for W8, I think I will wait that one out for a while and see how the programmers and whatnot like it. I could care less how somebody who only checks FB likes it. I would not be the least bit surprised if 7 became the new xp(people using it for years after it was "outdated".

Programming is a race between programmers trying to build bigger and better idiot proof programs, and the universe trying to build bigger and better idiots, so far... the universe is winning.

norm i have no problem with MS succeeding on the desktop ... in fact i agree with what you say as it pays a lot of my bills too ... i just wish they wouldn't throw out their strengths trying to play other people games i guess it's just the same old MS trying to be #1 in *every* market ... sadly they usually f**k up in almost everything outside of windows and office (a few other lately too) but haters gotta hate (and i do hate them as a corporation) :)

Fair enough, being in every market is what business is all about, but they should get rid of Ballmer and redress the manager hierarchy, its stiffling creativity (judging by the comments made on MiniMsft).

With a simple word addition, I changed your question to be even more implausible than it was to begin with.

I'd second that vote. Microsoft and I go way back, pre-Windows to present, and only three products have been worth noting - Win95 (the first version that actually worked), Win2K (which was the first reasonably secure version), and Win7. Everything in between was broken, defective crap, or in the case of XP, a huge bug fix with a (happily) defeatable children's UI. I don't expect them to get 2 in a row right, but if they do, I'll cheer them on. :-D

                            Will Rogers never met me.
