I think there is only 1 instrument that these two were capable of playing with.

    I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

It's why I dropped it in. It's the best of their newer albums.

I think so, the more I listen to them the better they get. The stuff Pete Docherty has done since is good too, a lot of people don't realise because they only read the shit about him, but he's got some amazing talent. I haven't listened to anything earlier than Oasis, apart from The Doors and I think them two would make up the remainder of my Top 3.

I love the whole Syd Barret storyline to Pink Floyd. Anywho, my favorite band that I can listen to anytime, especially when drinking, is the Dirty Three. Jim White is pretty much the best drummer I can think of, plays the style my grandfather and father played, and I now play. No vocals, but 3 of the best individual musicians in my opinion. No, the drummer is not this guy: http://www.nndb.com/people/214/000029127/[^] but looks like him. If you have youtube: studio (one of my fave songs, too): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6FI7TnlmTI&feature=related[^] live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzoAwcg0gsQ&feature=related[^]

It felt like any discussion of the best bands could not be complete without Led Zeppelin. Their ability to play so many different styles was amazing. Jimmy Page and John Bonham are among the best for their respective instruments, John Paul Jones's contributions were very important and often over-looked, and who can argue that Robert Plant is quite possibly the greatest frontman in rock history.

David Peel and the Lower East Side. Nah, just kidding. (Sorry, Harold) Any band with Phil Manzanera in it. Hmmm...seems I don't care so much much about a band qua band. Huh. Can't even think of any.
