Anyone seen Human Centipede?

Just reading in todays paper that the British Board of Film Classification has banned the sequel to 'The Human Centipede'. Reading what the first film is about: Mad scientist grafts the mouths of captives to the bottoms of other captives to create a many legged entity that recycles bodily waste. Is this film worth watching or is it just gross filth? Is it scary? (I can't remember the last time a 'horror' film scared me)

I saw only a trailer, but it didn't seem to be very interesting, so I gave the film a miss.

It isn't scary, and it's not that gross. Mostly it's just boring.

If you haven't seen the film you can't comment on it. I think a lot of people read reviews and make decisions without watching the film. Overall the film was plagued with bad acting, bad timing, unbelievable circumstance and a novel theme. I wouldn't see a sequel but not because I was disgusted by the original but because the original just wasn't that good. They would have to go T2 on it to save the sequel; terminators sewn together A2M to make the perfect human killing cyborg; that is a theme.

It's not so much censorship [tries to muffle giggles] but the ratting of the material. The BBFC rarely refuses a release license, but this is for public release. In about 3 1/2 seconds it will be available on a torrent to download.

The BBFC is a film board, not a government. It has nothing to do with democracy - all they have done is banned it because they, in part, feel that it breaches the Obscene Publications Act. In other words, they feel that failure to do so would fall foul of the law. This[^] is worth reading because it explains what the film is about, and why they have decided to ban it.

It has actually banned it. The film is believed to breach the Obscene Publications Act and therefore has no merit to be allowed distribution. If the producers can shos it is not in breach of the act then it will be distributable but un-classified.

Seen the first one and wasn't anything special really, just somewhat overhyped and pretty dull. Haven't seen the 2nd.
