But thousands of years of nature says it is OK. It is only fairly recent social ideas that go against nature that mean such things are wrong. Males are designed to mate with young females who are capable of bearing children. Not sure that shooting people is any better myself.

So you will be quite happy if a fifty year old guy is going to mate with your 16 year old daughter? Oops, you seem to believe in the motto, then it would be with your 12 year old daughter. Well thousands of years ago the average life span of humans was only about 25 at best, so I suppose mating with a 12-16 year old was acceptable, these days however the human lifespan is at about 65 so there is no conceivable reson for any male regardless of age having to mate with a girl of that age.

The first age of consent law was in England around 800 years ago, and was 12. Ages of consent in most of Europe only started to rise at the end of the 19th Century. What I believe to be right or wrong is immaterial. The two in the story have both nature and law on their side. Shooting people who disagree with you has neither.
