Yes, it's a better health and lifestyle compromise than now! And probably excellent for my resume too! As well as more money. But above all I hope the lifestyle will be better (fed-up of living in a small village far from anyone I care about)! and that the health will finally fix itself (fighting chronic illnesses is a long and hard battle, just made a 4th breakthrough last week-end!)

Weather will be pretty good there right now - better than Sydney anyhow! Look forward to your posting from there in the summer, though :)

Well, unlike Sydney & Brisbane house which suffer from cold in winter and heat in summer, in Darwin A/C is everywhere, protesting you against excessive heat all year round! :) Lived there for 8 month in 2008, it was good! ;P

I quite fancy Darwin meself, frankly, though dragging the family out there is just not going to happen. The cure for heat, of course, is not air conditioning, it is ice cold beer in small pots.

He's not in Sydney, he's in bloody Byron Bay, so if he gets too cold (warmer there than Sydney) he can get some of their medicinal tobacco and not feel anything anyway.
