        Climber discovers frozen body of friend[^] I thought this was interesting. I've never understood mountain climbing. A tall cliff is one thing...but Everest? I bet when you get to the top all you can see is clouds, assuming you haven't gone snow blind like this guys friend.

        On the other hand, I got interested in Mountain climbing though I have not done any real climb yet. It seems lot of fun (actually it is much better for you brain and mind then just your body), I do want to start with climbing Mount Hood this year or next.

            Yeah, its pretty hard work, and not particularly rewarding. Highest I have been is 19,000. That was bad enough. Rather do it on a ski lift these days. :)

                                    Because it's probably one of the hardest thing to do when you're into hiking/climbing. I think it's not the most "technical" climb that exists, but because of the height it makes it very difficult.
