i have to say i am impressed after hating it for a day or two until i understood it it has the feel of vc6 for c++ with modern additions PLUS it emits cross-platform c++ apps how much better could it get? :)

It could emit apps in VB (for those that like VB, of course). Of course, that would shoot the cross-platform thing all to hell and back...

It is a really nice IDE. Very simplistic but effective at the same time. It supports .pro projects and cmake projects, which is nice.

Two of the best programmers I know are swearing in it and even contribute to the project. I promised to give it a try some months ago and eventually I will; especially now when Nokia is behind this project.

How much are they still behind it? Since signing up for WP7, they've massively pulled back from their Maemo and Megoo phone platforms.

i honestly think they would open source the IDE if they dropped it the Qt libs are already open sourced it is so refreshing to find a modern but lightweight IDE that not only emits cross-platform code but *is* cross-platform itself certain companies whose names begin with "micro" and end with "soft" could learn a thing or two from this IDE

Perhaps, but I'd prefer they remain ignorant of it. We both know any lessons they might learn would be added as yet another layer of bloat on top of everything else.
