You are fooling (aren't you? :omg:), but there are those who think that way for real.

Errr...no that isn't true. There are quite a few 'cable' channels that also blur and bleep as well.

Yes the joke is that out of Languages, Maths and History, I am only good at two of them, Mathematics. Thus implying I can't do Maths either. In truth I, like 90% of English, find learning another language impossile. History, only half good they choose to ignore big chunks of history over here, the British Empire for example isn't even mentioned, so my lack of knowledge on that will astound you. I did Electronics to Degree level so my Maths is OK.

According to results of a nationwide test released last month, most fourth graders in the U.S. are unable to say why Abraham Lincoln was an important figure and few high school seniors able to identify China as the North Korean ally that fought American troops during the Korean War. Over all, 20 percent of fourth graders, 17 percent of eighth graders and 12 percent of high school seniors demonstrated proficiency on the exam. As George Santayana said, "Those who refuse to learn from history are condemned to repeat it." It appears that neither your country nor mine even knows who Santayana is.

Just last night, the 12-year old girl in our care, was all excited about something she learnt in RE and wanted to tell us. It was Adam and Eve! Despite going to Sunday school for 3 years, she has got to 12 without knowing about Adam & Eve. We were gobsmacked.

You are children, naive children. You may not do the things your parents did, because the nanny state knows best. Your rights are being eroded, your freedoms taken from you. But the puritans will tell you it is for the best. They will tell you what to do, where to go, how to think. They will even tell you how to raise your children. Even art is to be subjected to what the state thinks is good for you.[^] Oh Australia, what hast thou become?

OK, I recognize you might be another fundamentalist like Christian and become really upset when I write this, but there is good reason to suspect that the story of Adam and Eve is apocryphal, and the blatant sexism in the story means it might not be something that 12 year old girls should be exposed to without parental guidance. yours truly, "The Serpent"

1,5 or 50 is irrelevant to me, we don't get your channels just the pick of your shows, and the blurring out of buttocks is prudish. Also many a time, I have seen American Actors accidently swear when being interviewed on English TV, only to be surprised when the interviewer informs them it is OK to say it. Jerry Springer for example is unwatchable as it is just continually blurred and one long beep.

Until the next fine that is. People that feel they have the right to litter when there are garbage bins nearby are so disgusting. Though being from a place where littering is commonplace Ive had plenty of time to pile up some issues.

 I am English, we are not religous here. We allow her to go Sunday School because she enjoys it, she doesn't know we are Atheist as it is important she susses it herself. Since learning of Adam and Eve she is starting to realise its all a big swindle.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. You paid 75 quid for the privilege of throwing the burger out. It'll cost you another 75 quid to chuck something else out. If I were you, I'd save it all up and chuck it all out in a mass chucking then you'd get value for money. ;P

That is their choice, not government(FCC) censorship. I'm still waiting for the f bomb to work into the ABC family channel.

Do you live in a country where they force you to watch TV?
Ᵽompey wrote:

Presuming that you don't live in a country that forces you to watch that show then I would suggest that as an alternative that you simply do not watch it. I certainly don't.

So when you sing God Save the Queen, you actually don't espouse gay rights?
