Well, the announcement is placed on your profile page -> reputation tab. It says the recalculation was done on On Jul 3, 2011
You can flame me whichever way you want and I wouldn't care a bit. But if you group me with some idiots, I'll turn into your worst nightmare.

ya i felt the same, but if it is planned... I think the better way should be to make it happen from the date of rule change. Not for the existing downloads as it would come as a shock to those who has built there reputation based on articles.
Well, to be honest, I could care less. I see now I have 467k ( was 410k before ), so things are changing. The thing is, it's all relative. If I have more because of a change, so do you. So, even if you live for such things, who cares what the absolute number is ?

Sincerely it doesn't, but still this morning, I had a big WTF on my face?!?!? They could let us now that this will be done before they actually did it.

Yes, I had noticed that. I was getting 1000k some days just from downloads, so I guess that meant it was decided it was too heavily weighted in that direction.
