And it is far too early :) I am sitting in my office and am the only one in the building at the moment.

It is the nicest moment in the office, I'm the only one here too! Silence, what a joy! :)

... and this comment is worth as much as an article download... I'm still experiencing seperation anxiety from my late lamented download points.

Would you like to seek counselling?

Yes, I had noticed that. I was getting 1000k some days just from downloads, so I guess that meant it was decided it was too heavily weighted in that direction.

Well, to be honest, I could care less. I see now I have 467k ( was 410k before ), so things are changing. The thing is, it's all relative. If I have more because of a change, so do you. So, even if you live for such things, who cares what the absolute number is ?

Yeah, the very fact that he Could care less means it is important to him. Personally I couldn't care less.

After all they are not like frequent flyer miles! They don't make you no better looking. You can't eat them. You friends don't have point envy. (Well come to think of it maybe some do) I'm with you they are pretty to look at but in the end ain't good for nothing. :)

Yes, but they also assigned them based on 10 years of server logs instead of just the last few months worth. It probably had something to do with Maunder's ~200k downloads and the 1M rep points it would've generated dwarfing everything else on the site.
