Superb film, a fitting send off and a great endeavour by all concerned.

Glad to hear it. I plan to see it soon. :)

Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.

Money is no way to measure; only a count of tickets sold is valid.

:~ If money is no way to measure, why are tickets sold more valid? If the 7 people who see it at 1$ are worth more than the 1 who sees it at 10$, should't the 10 who pirate it be worth more the 7 who pay for it?

I was HollyHooo but got tired of it and Sebastien was taken.

Depends on what you think you are measuring. Personally, I think average milligrams-per-minute of cortisol produced in viewers who watched the movie at room temperature is the only valid metric.

Try telling that to the people who bankrolled the film. Cheers, Drew.

Because tickets used to cost a whole lot less, so you can't compare "Harry Potter" with "Gone With The Wind" on the basis of raw earnings.

There is also people inflation, so you can't really compare raw ticket numbers either. Not to mention shifting economies (e.g., formerly third world countries that never had movie theaters but that now do).
