They are rather cheesed off now. Annoyed enough to think about writing a strongly worded letter to those responsible, but they'll probably not get around to it and will have forgotten about it in a couple of days.

I haven't bought myself a new gadget in a while, so I decided it was time... Got an Asus Eee Pad Transformer, keyboard dock and all... It's like a detachable laptop... Very cool. Once I get settled in and set it up exactly how I like it, it'll be mostly replacing my old EeePC netbook. Any suggestions on good Android games to get? ...OTHER THAN Angry Birds... Everyone always seems to have some weird fixation with that one...

I haven't bought myself a new gadget in a while, so I decided it was time... Got an Asus Eee Pad Transformer, keyboard dock and all... It's like a detachable laptop... Very cool. I really wanted one, hinted and everything, for my birthday. got an iPad (actually, I love it, but still like the look of the transformer) Read last night that there's a rumour that the next version will be running windows 8 !!!!!!!! Only think holding me back from buying one for the missus right now is the talk of poor video playback performance - I've seen some reviews where they show video being REALLY sluggish and choppy. I'd be interested to hear your experience (I'm talking DVD quality full screen not streamed, here) As for games, I can't give a personal opinion - but I like the look of "Dead Frontier - Free 3D zombie MMORPG"

How old are you again Maxy? Hinting never, ever works. Learnt that from 20 years (in 13 days) of marriage. I want something, I tell her in detail what it is, when she wants something she bloody well wants to give me the details. Any time she starts with, But I hinted..., or, You should've known..., she gets the faarrrkkkk off, how many times have I told you hinting won't work. Things generally deteriorate from there.

To be fair, when i said "hint" what i did was email her a link to Amazon with a not saying "I'd quite like one of these for my birthday!" Unfortunately, when she opened the email, it was just after having ordered the ipad As you say, hinting never works - which is why she has a 12 inch pianist in the bedroom...
