I reckon that's pretty cool. I know some have left, and some visited only once, and many don't post, just browse, and download, and use the work that others have so generously given away, but 8 million is a large number whichever way you look at it. To all those who have submitted their code, their knowledge, their time, their enthusiasm and their passion: Thank you.

However you may still keep that 32-bit counter for a while. Have a  (or two). :)

I don't know what do I get by answering questions in the C++ forum, but when I think of the past, I was asking questions and people here then answered it without expecting a thing in return. Nishant, Marc Clifton, Michael Dunn, David Crow, You, etc., You were all such an inspiration to me back then. So, I will just go on answering whenever possible. It makes me feel good. When I look at myself today, I am proud and happy to tell that I've given a bit back to the community, no matter how small it is. And that makes me extremely happy. I've leeched so much from here, and I think I still owe this site a lot. Thank YOU for making all this possible. My congratulations to everyone of you who made it happen - the hamsters, the human staff, the regulars, etc.,

Chris didn't address you. He knows you're just a dumb thread hijacker! ;P :-D

Congratulations mate, and well done. If we take away fat_boy and HWSNBN sock puppet accounts though, that takes us to just a touch over 7 million.

Big congrats :) Member 3689500 here and I am Guilty as charged :sigh: Yes I am one of the many many members that are not active, But I have been here for a while, actively read many of the posts, receive and read the newsletters daily and enjoy the site and have done for a few years. I am not a developer so often the discussions and code are beyond me but I do a little bit in C# and always find something useful and interesting, sometime even amusing :omg: Many thanks to all those members that do contribute (unlike me) :-O

Nay, I thank you. I got far much contribution than I've contributed (just wish I had time for more), I even used numbers from CP to convince management of some decisions. You are noteworthy shepherd. And I am a sheep, hamster... I don't know anymore :~

See, now I feel guilty for never having written anything. I appreciate all the great work (and funny chat) that goes on here. Now I'm an "expert" programmer (i.e. I only use Google for every other line now) maybe I should start contributing more?
Er, I can't think of a funny signature right now. How about a good fart to break the silence?
