This was suggested in the Suggestions forum, but I think a few people said that in general people may not want to see a themed Bob for festivals/special days they are not familiar with. And to maybe do it on an IP-based basis. So anyone from India would see the Independence Day Bob. Not sure I like that idea since I do not live in India but would still like to see the logo.

Of course, we'd have to to have a human check to make sure the image was acceptable and that the holiday was a real one, but that's only because many of the users here are puerile twats trying to invoke their own weak attempts at anarchy.

He gets dressed up for loads of occasions I know nothing of, and him being different is often the first I know something is going on. Of course that means whoever does the drawing needs to know something is going on too. Cannot see how anyone could possibly object, unless they are a raving nationalist or racist with a specific problem against someone, in which case getting him dressed up and upsetting them can only be a good thing. No I was not. But a lot of non-Indians may not want to see it. I believe the admins themselves are not 100% convinced of this, and I say this since I have been suggesting they do this since 2001. Even when I worked for CP, I could not convince Chris into doing this. Eventually I just gave up.

No I was not. But a lot of non-Indians may not want to see it. I believe the admins themselves are not 100% convinced of this, and I say this since I have been suggesting they do this since 2001. Even when I worked for CP, I could not convince Chris into doing this. Eventually I just gave up.

I'm kind of disappointed by that picture. That's kind the same regular naked Bob visiting India. I'd like to see Bob dressed as an Indian guy :)
