If it's not a Tablet PC, it's a...

... ? I've looked everywhere (no I haven't) but I just can't find it. Quite some time ago - around the time when Tablet PC's were introduced - I remember an article describing a "?", which was a PC in a nifty designed box standing in the corner of your living room - that would communicate wireless with the nice LCD-touch-screen you were holding in you little, greasy hands while sitting in the couch. We all know (especially David, who got quite a lot of Tablet PC's from CPians on his last birthday ;P) that a Tablet PC is more like a laptop without the keyboard but with a touch-screen. So the main difference is that with a "?" you don't have to carry around the enourmous battery needed to keep the 3.0 GHz CPU / fast hard drive alive - you'll have a fully-featured PC while you only need power enough to keep the screen and wireless link running. This has to be better than a Tablet PC. But I just can't find a reference to one of these "?"'s. So, I have to turn to the allmighty, allknowing CP Lounge - as I'm sure that you remembers such an important thing ;). What is a "?" called ? Besides - let me use this occasion to wish you all a very merry christmas (allmost too late) and a happy new year ! (Not too late). Best regards, /Jan And Dave, would you please email me one of you spare Tablet PC's - just for comparison of course. I have to get a "?" as soon as I know what to buy...

Do you mean the Mira?
yeah... actually, I think we're getting there now. However, it doesn't sound like it's a lot better / faster than a descent Tablet PC. Maybe I should just wait for Davids evaluation of his stockpile of Tablet PC's... ;) What do you think ? Are Tablet PC's going to kick laptops off of the market ?
