Wow! Unbelievable! [modified]

Upgraded to OSX Lion and XCode 4.1 - and my projects still compile and run! Hard to believe. I kept putting off the upgrade convinced that everything would be messed up and my projects would be toast. Finally today I decided to go for broke. Upgraded to OSX Lion... works fine, looks great, less filling. Upgraded to XCode 4.1... installation and upgrade goes without a hitch. Open up one project, and XCode prompted me that my project needs to be "modernized". Uh oh (I says to myself). I click on the "OK" button) and it does whatever it does. Compiled my newly "modernized" project... It compiles with no errors! Then I try running my app... (drum roll)... it works! I'm frolicking barefoot through a field of daisies, birds are singing, the sun is shining, all is right with the world. OK, so I still have my own bugs, but at least they're mine - all mine! And I'll cherish them [probably] forever. I think the fact that I waited worked out OK. The Lion upgrade version was changed to handle certain issues with iTunes (go figure) that caused installation glitches. For me, the upgrade and installation went without a hitch. Nice

Doesn't this say a lot when we expect that upgrading an IDE will completely mess our lives up?

Yes - but only that we have learnt from experience!

That's how we feel about Visual Studio, too. :)
